A 200MP sensor has very small individual pixels, which struggle in dim light. Binning combines neighbouring pixels into one larger virtual pixel — here 16 of them, producing an effective 2.44µm pixel. You get bright, clean shots by default, and can still switch to the full 200MP when there is plenty of light and you want maximum detail.

The 6.4-inch main display uses Xiaomi’s Super Pixel 2.0 panel with a hardware-level privacy screen. Unlike a stick-on privacy film or a software filter, the narrowing of the viewing angle is built into the panel itself, so you can switch it on when you are working on a plane or a train and off the rest of the time, with no loss of brightness or colour when it is off.
