What makes the vivo X500 Pro different: a real telephoto in a small phone

Compact phones usually cut corners on the camera, and the telephoto is the first thing to go. What does APO actually mean?

APO stands for apochromatic. Ordinary lenses focus red, green and blue light at slightly different points, which shows up as purple or green fringes along high-contrast edges, such as branches against a bright sky.
