The Ultra is gone, and that changes what this phone is

This is the most consequential thing being reported, so it is worth being clear that it is reported rather than confirmed.

Last generation, iQOO ran two models: the iQOO 15 at ¥4,199 as the value performance flagship, and an Ultra above it with the full specification. Multiple reports now say the Ultra has been cancelled for this generation, with its hardware folded into the standard iQOO 16.

If accurate, that reframes the phone entirely. The iQOO 16 would not be the affordable entry into the range — it would be the whole range, at Ultra-tier specification.
